The sunshine state.. FLORIDA!!

"If you got a chance to go to America, what place do you want to go visit beside New York City?" my host-mom tried to ask this question to some kids and she concludes that most of them said "Disney World!!!". Because of that, she tried to find the way to bring me there. She doesn't want me be here in America without experiencing Disney World. I remember that she asked her friend if we could get a discount ticket but it didn't work, until I forgot about Disney World.

Suddenly, my mom asked me about how much money do I have and she said "wow, that's enough to go to Florida!" and of course I wanted to go there. The reason why she asked me to go with her was because she has job interview there and she planed to bring Addy so she was thinking "why don't I bring Gia also?". Finally, my mom looked for the plane ticket. I was so excited to go because I was missing the sun. haha..

On the day before we went to the airport, we realized that I had a different flight with my mom and Addy. It was funny. We got the ticket with the same price and from the same website but my mom was messed up so we had different flight. But it wasn't a problem for me. The fact was my airplane was better then them. :p

I flight from Hartford, CT to Orlando, FL. Grandpa picked up us at the airport. First thing I noticed was there're no snows and so warm. oh my! We stayed at Aunt Kim's apartment. They have a really nice house with a pool, basketball court, beside the lake, and an apartment where we stayed. Oh yeah, Aunt Kim's husband is the Orlando Magic's coach. you know Orlando Magic is a NBA team. It was so great because I love basketball.

First day, I was spending time with Addy and Grandma. We were playing with her cats and her dog. Her house was so nice. And I felt like I was at home in Indonesia.

Second day, I went to.......... "Disney World" with my mom. Addy didn't wanna go there so it was just two of us. but it was still fun though. We went to the Magic Kingdom. You know what was so funny? We were using Aunt Kim's fancy SUV, it has GPS in it. We were using it and set it to Magic Kingdom but it brought us to somebody's horses lawn. haha so funny and my mom decided to not believe in GPS anymore. haha. Then we used a manual map and finally we arrived at Magic Kindom. We bought 2 ticket, a ticket was about $80. we took a monorail to bring us to the magic kingdom gate. It was so cool. I felt like a little kid and it was so magical. hahaha :p We spent the whole day there with my mom. Thank you mom. :) It was a great day, I had lots of fun. 

The next day, we went to the mall because Addy really wanted to go to Hot Topic but I didn't buy anything because I've no money. lol. After we got back, I played basketball in the court and the kids were playing in the lake. Aunt Kim has a jet ski and some other fun stuffs. After that around 6 pm, we were heading to Amway center which was the Orlando Magic's game place. I got a free ticket and VIP seat. It was really great experience. We parked the car in the players' and coach's parking spot. I saw the players' cars, and the most unique was Dwight Howard's. haha. We went to the family room and took some foods and then went to our seat. It was so cool. At that time, Orlando Magic played Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland wasn't really good so Orlando Magic won the game. :) Ater the game, we ate dinner at Family room. I saw the players and they are soooo tall. Oh my! When we were going out from the parking lot, there were lots of people waiting in the front and our car was there. I felt like as a superstar. lol :p

We went home on the next day, again, with the different flight. haha. I was waiting alone in the airport for hours but I went shopping instead. haha. Then I arrived at Hartford, CT and my buddy, Jacob, and Pancho were waiting there. It was unforgettable. :)

Boston Trip

October 23-26, 2010

This was one of the great trip I've ever done here in the United States. I went to visit Boston, MA. Boston is the capital and the largest city of Massachusetts. I went there with my host family and we just drove a car there because it took about 3 hours to get there from our house which is in Jamaica, Vermont. We spend the nights in a really nice hotel called Commonwealth. That hotel is right in the middle of city and I really like that hotel.

On the first day, we were just spending time in the hotel, watch TV, and we met my host-dad's sister (aunt Kim) with her daughters. She lives in Florida but she went to Boston because her older daughter was going to study in Boston University. Aunt Kim, Shannon, Alison, and Kelly are so pretty.

On Monday, we started our journey in Boston. We started walking in the morning. Do you know what we did first? we went to Apple store to bought an iPod because I really want an iPod touch. Then, we walked to the big building and we rode the train. It was so nice out so we decided to walk to the museum of science. It was a big museum and so great. We bought the duck tour tickets there to see all part of the city. Do you know what is the special things from the duck tour? The bus! It was like amphibian bus. We went through the city on the road like a regular bus but also we were sailing the big river like a boat. It was so cool. We saw a lot of building which were very tall, big, and so unique. I also got a chance to be a driver of that duck tour bus when we were on the water. After we got out from the bus, we decided to walk back to the hotel. We thought it wasn't so far but actually it was far. But still I was so happy to see lots of buildings, streets, and lots of different kind of peoples. After we arrived at the hotel, we were so hungry and I remember, we ate some Mexican foods like Taco. yumm.. After we ate, we were having some desserts with aunt Kim and her daughters. I ate a really delicious cake with a chocolate milk. hmm, yummy!! :)

On the next day, we were going home. But before we left, I got to see some university which are the best university in the United States. I went to visit Boston University, University of Art, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Harvard. I wish I could go to the university there like Harvard. :) Those were so cool. I really wanna go there again.

My trip was so great. I wish I could go there again with my family or my friends in Indonesia sometime, to see the differences and the improvement.
